About Nonwovens  

"Nonwovens" is an important process to make fabrics and it describes something that is not woven. Traditional T-shirt, jean, and other fabrics are generally made by weaving or knitting process A Nonwoven fabric is a fabric not made by weaving or knitting and does not require converting the fibers to yarn.Nonwoven fabrics are broadly defined as sheet or web structures bonded together by entangling fiber or filaments (and by perforating films) mechanically, thermally or chemically. They are flat, porous sheets that are made directly from separate fibers or from molten plastic or plastic film. Functions and properties of "Nonwovens". The speed of a machine which weaves cloth is relatively slow whereas the speed of a Nonwoven machine is very fast. This difference in the speed of this process helps make Nonwoven fabrics generally less expensive.The economy of a Nonwoven fabric allows it to be used in applications in which the fabric will have a short life.That is, it’s disposable;and with innovation of technologies of nonwoven processes, other specific functions, including absorbency, softness, stretch, flame retardant, and bacterial barrier were greatly developed. These properties are often combined to create fabrics suited for specific jobs, while achieving a good balance between product use-life and cost.
